As an Asian-American immigrant, Chef Man Tae Sohn has studied East Asian cuisines for over 30 years! In particular, he has specialized in cooking Korean and Japanese dishes and has made it his life’s purpose to serve these dishes to his community in Louisiana. Sushiko, therefore, is the manifestation of his dream.
Having mastered the art of cooking Japanese dishes, Chef Sohn first opened the doors to Sushiko in 2007. Above all else, Sushiko shares the same values that Chef Sohn holds dear to his heart of only using the freshest ingredients that Mother Nature has to offer and serving each customer as if they were part of his own family.
